What its all about is: Hitting the people hard.
#Priyanmani paruthiveeran movie
For instance the movie “Thro’ the glass darkly” is about how a girl is going mad everyday and her dad is writing a novel about she going mad. Most Bergmen movies dont have story line or plot.

The purpose of the movie is not to highlight the good parts in the concentration camp, but to highlight how human’s have been reckless.Ģ) Its not about taste. People still suffering big time due to war and genetic mutation due to poison gas… you expect a happy ending for this? Well lemme tell you this ain’t no tamil cinema, It is life.

Till this day only east German is doing good, west Germany is fucked up. Even the concentration camp stuff, shouldn’t have been a happy ending, cauze it never was happy in Germany after the end of Hitler.Īfter the end of Hitler, Stalin of Russia said this “I am going to take a rod heat it up and shove it in German’s ass and heat the other end so that no one pulls it out” And he did it. It is supposed to tell you, if you dont stop polluting now, someday the nature is gonna gobble you up and no superman is gonna come to save you… Why? Cauze the human brain is designed to forget good things quickly and remember bad things for a long time.Ī movie with a stong message is not supposed to leave you light hearted, it is supposed to burden you. The reason here is terrorizing works wonders.

When the same Indians came to India, they littered. More than habit it was terror which was engraved in their mind. Yes, not a happy decision but a terrorizing one. imposed fines and 50 whipes in the ass for the guy who litters in public. It is not to educate people, but to fix the terror in their mind forever so that they will try to reduce pollution. Okay here is why certain movies shouldn’t have good endings:ġ) If they are talking about a huge problem, for instance an Al Gore movie on “Global warming”. There are movies with heavy subjects … the movie ‘life is beautiful’ by roberto benigni, speaks about people taken into concentration camps and killed brutally, but the way benigni takes the movie, the way he tries to keep the spirits of his little son high is simply awesome … the ending is disappointing where the small boy becomes an orphan … a rather sad ending … but there was so much good about the movie, so much into a father son relationship, the subject was woven smoothly around this … at the end people got to know about the cruelty at the concentration camp and where also not burdened by the story … infact its a feel good movie inspite of having some ruthless and sad scenes …Īs you say, a movie can be used to educate people about the magnitude of a problem but why should it leave the audience burdened Lets see who wins …Ī bergman’s movie might not have a good or cool ending … but its a really good movie, the storyline is excellent and the way the plot unfolds is really really unexpected … these are quality films made for audience with taste … Comedy is situational and mostly in the hands of Karthi and Saravanan.Īnother actor has arrived in our industry, waiting to make it in the leagues of Rajnikanth and Kamalhassan. Saravanan who comes has Karthi’s uncle is the best choice. Karthi as a village thug has done his best to the role and Priyamani is no less competitive, except for her voice everything seems to be good about her. When i came out of the movie i was empathizing with the actors, which is the success of the director Ameer, but the movie as a whole is disappointing. When the audience walk out after the movie, they expect to be happy and smiling and not feel sorry for the lead actors who die in the movie. At the end, Virumaandi did not leave the audience with a heavy heart which Paruthiveeran does. Virumaandi might have been inspired by a Japanese flick but it surely did ring the bells in the audience. The movie is in the lines of Virumaandi but Virumaandi was much much better inspite of all the blood and flesh lying all over the screen. Speaking about Paruthiveeran, although the movie has been able to showcase the actor’s talent, the movie as a whole is not worth a watch. Surya and Karthi ought to make a movie together, but Studio Green please stay away. In a lot of scenes, Karthi reminds the audience about Surya, the way Karthi walks, smiles, delivers dialogues its all so much like Surya. Paruthiveeran has been a perfect launchpad for Karthi who has made the best use of it.

Paruthiveeran is all about violence and gore, but Karthi and Priyamani excel in the movie as actors. After assisting Maniratnam in Aayutha Ezhuthu, Karthi ventured into the acting arena, unlike Surya he has proved himself as a worthy actor in his very first movie, Paruthiveeran. Karthi, Surya’s bro has finally made his appearance on the screen and that too with a bang … a big bang indeed.
